Give a child access to arts education for an entire year

CKDC has a long history of supporting youth and adults in need and providing access to arts education. In the past season we have awarded over 685 need-based scholarships to youth and adults in need. Our scholarships are never merit based so anyone with a desire to dance can have access. Adults are offered the option of work trade tasks but our youth are in a special situation and they need our support. Our youth educational program is unique not only in our teaching philosophies and approach to dance education, but also in the way we empower our youth artists to learn about being responsible adults and citizens. Through our professional development classes and day-to-to day studio activities and expectations, we empower our students to be more independent and equip them with real world skills that they can use in careers inside or outside the arts. Dance should be available to everyone and our students get to work alongside our incredible team of artists who share the same vision in a safe and healthy space. Your gift covers unlimited dance education, after school snacks, shoes, apparel and a healthy outlet for expression for a student all year long.
