Ta'Quoara A. L. Watson-Hardieway, Toko, was born in St. Louis where she started her career as a model. At age thirteen, she won the title of Miss Top Ten Model St. Louis for her outstanding performances and community efforts. She has worked in television commercials for politicians and the St. Louis Cardinals. Toko trained at COCA under the direction of Anthony Redd Williams and has worked with top companies such as Alvin Ailey, Martha Graham, Houston Ballet and Ensemble Espanol, where she was recognized for profound leadership. She was granted a scholarship to a university of her choice and decided to continue her education at Webster University. Toko has been dancing professionally for the past eight years for both local and international artists. She is trained in all forms of dance including Ballet, Modern, Jazz, Hip Hop, Folk and Tap. In 2013 she was given the opportunity to travel and perform on a dance tour in China. She lived and worked there as a performer for three years. She recently has been nominated as a member of the International Dance Council CID at UNESCO, the official world wide organization for dance. Toko hopes to inspire others to follow their desires through the arts.
