Swing Dance Workshop

Join us for an afternoon of Swing and Blues dance with Michael Faltesek!

This workshop will focus on an introduction to basic partnering, blues & swing dancing. We will learn to improvise and share our passion for dance. Get tapped in to St. Louis' vibrant swing and blues community. Partner dancing will make your life complete!

Described as "embodying jazz", Falty's main objective is to spread the love of good old fashioned, American born, swing music and dancing to as many people as he can. He travels the world, teaching and performing swing and tap dancing as well leading and accompanying some of the world's swingingest musicians. Falty is the band leader of Falty & the Defects and world renowned swing dancer. He has been mentioned in The New York Times for his "ingenious choreography" and is a member of the Camp Hollywood Hall of Fame for his dancing and musical contributions. He choreographed "The Australia Routine", a lindy hop routine used by many of the world's top swing dancers and conceived "Doin' the Jive", a world famous jazz line dance. Falty's vocals and guitar playing are featured in the award winning music video "Black Coffee."
